I visited this chateau during the open doors week-end. It’s located just outside the city, in a beautiful wooded park. The driveway is just outstanding, you’ll feel like royalty driving through.
The chateau itself dates back to the 11th-12th century. It’s said that the ‘Black Prince’ would come here to hunt during the middle ages.
Now renowned as a Grand Cru Classé de Graves, it’s a chateau that offers a real historic view as well as exceptional red and white wines.
You can get there using the city transport if you don’t mind walking a little. You take the Tram C from Quinconces to Vaclav Havel, then take the bus 5s to Piscine Chambery and walk for about 20min. You must contact them before visiting.
